On The Rocks - Bad Romance - 4/23/10

PE & Differentiation October 12th, 2010

So, this is all of us, not paying attention at first, cause the lesson hasn't started.
I'd just like to say, Amber did not want to be in this picture!
Professor Dona Smith

Amber's Lesson With Explanations:

The activity starts out, you get oxygen by breathing through your mouth and nose. Breath in deeply three times... and grab your oxygenated blood cell (bean bag)...

Use that oxygenated blood cell to run to the heart. Lift your blood cell in both hands over your head, and squeeze. that is what your heart is doing. it's convulsing. now run to the next part.

You are throwing your oxygenated blood cell into the out pile, and you use the rest of your energy by doing 10 jumping jacks. then run back to the mouth to get more oxygen.

Hope Your Summer is Awesome

I was just missing everyone in our little group. I was used to spending a ton of time with you all and now I am having withdrawels. I don't really miss the homework though. I just thought I would post a little note, that I am thinking of you all and I hope you are all having an awesome summer. We need to have a pool party soon. Is anyone game? Talk to you soon.
Love,
Heidi I.

Our Human Knot

Color Poem

Here are the poems we made in Language Arts class. They're really good..we are poets, aren't we?? :)

Yellow
Yellow makes me happy and joyful.
Yellow turns to glowing red when I face the sun and close my eyes.
YELLOW rose gardens become my home.
Happy and Joyful.

Green
Green is like the color of my eyes.
Green is a refreshing renewal of hope.
Green - is a green salad with cucumbers and a touch of lime.
Green is the color of grass I run through on a summer day.
Green is many things to us. What is it to you?

Orange
Orange is the sweet citrus taste of summer.
Orange is chubby baby toes.
Orange is for the tabby cat all tired and worn.
Orange is the color of memories.

Purple
Purple is the people eater.
Purple is the color of lilacs in the Spring.
Purple is the color of sweet orchids on a hot Summer day.
Violet is the color of my face when my children are out of place.
Purple is the people eater.

Blue
Blue is the sky as I lay on a warm beach.
Blue is the ocean so hard to reach.
Blue is like the glow in the soul, brilliantly and bright.
Blue is the sky in the deep dark night.
Blue represents happiness and freedom!!

Love the pictures, Heidi!

I especially love the comments for each. You're hilarious! I just have one concern.....did you forget the apostrophe on your bulletin board? I couldn't tell from the picture. It looks like it says, "MRS. HALES CLASS GARDEN" when it really should say "MRS. HALES' CLASS GARDEN". Correct me if I'm wrong. I was going to get out my red pen, but it doesn't work that well on the computer screen! :)

Anne Marie and Heidi's field work bulletin board. And yes, that is real bark on the tree and straw in the Scarecrow.

I know, I should be doing my Multicultural papers but this is more fun. Look at how cute that scarecrow is. I miss second grade.

This was taken after only one week into field work. Anne Marie is ready to pull her hair out and Heidi is falling asleep on the job. Did you say 1,2,3, go or 1,2, go on 3?

Ok Second grade, we are here. Ready, or not.

Flash those pearly whites, Lindsay. It's almost summer!

The smile that said a thousand words. I bet you are all wondering what Sarah is thinking right now. She is saying, "Heidi, get that camera out of my face." among other things.

I will get to the homework as soon as I finish walking my dogs. Priorities people!

We just got another assignment. It is a good thing we love homework so much, or this school thing might not work out!!!

Talent, skill and beauty. Brianna has it all.
